The wet cask at nonesuch distillery

July – the Whisky month it seems. We had a massive crew we had for our Intro to Distilling in July but managed to fit everyone for what became a very busy Thursday in July. The weather gods looked upon us favourably and we kicked off the day with a visit from our mate Todd at Desintaton Cellars who shared just a little about the retail world of whisky before we explore d touch of business and then hopped on the bus to visit our favourite breweries and distilleries. A lovely lunch in the historic town of Richmond, although there wasnt much time to check out the sites as there was more learning to be done at the distillery.

Here is a little photo story of what the crew of 15 (and our distiller mates from Sullivans Cove Distillery) got up to on the day.

The trip takes you from Hadleys, to a chat with Dave at Moo Brew and into the brewery, into Sullivans Cove with distiller Heather before a tasting overlooking the distillery. The next day we visited Rex at Nonesuch distillery for insights on gin and a look inside pandora (his still).
