Tas Whisky Week – our special event on Saturday 12 August.
We’d like to let you know that we’ll be partnering with Launceston Distillery during Tas Whisky Week
to explore just what makes Launceston Distillery’s yet to be released whisky so special.
What can you expect?
This course is for the whisky enthusiast, lover, geek or whisky curious. It is a behind the scenes look – taking in the mashing process, the qualities that Distiller Chris Condon is looking for in the mash and the spirit, the distillation process including taking the perfect cut and what happens when newmake spirit hits the barrel to be aged.
You can also expect to be looked after, treated as a special guest of the Tasmanian Whisky Academy and the Launceston Distillery Team,
and learn some things about whisky that you may not know.
Spots are very limited and restricted to people over the age of 18. We’re planning on a cracking day and participants will take home a special gift, materials about whisky making and certificate of participation. Morning tea and lunch provided. Book here
WHERE IS LAUNCESTON DISTILLERY?
Launceston Distillery is housed in the historic Hangar 17 at Launceston Airport.
What the team has done to transform this site into a distillery is a story in itself and worth sharing on the day.
Once you have booked your spot, we’ll share all the what, where, when and how with you.
